AMSI Cares because Dubai Cares
About 4,000 pupils from Academia Management Solutions International stood hand-in-hand with Shaikh Mayed Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum at Al Mawakeb School campus in Al Barsha yesterday and pledged themselves for the Dubai Cares project.
Dr Abdullah Al Karam, chairman of the board of directors and director general of Knowledge and Human Development Authority, said that His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has through the Dubai Cares project taught pupils and students something that they cannot get from books.
He said: "The Dubai Cares initiative has helped us deliver a message to all children at every schooling age that they, too, have a role and that they, too, can make a difference."
‘Hands together’ chain formed by school kids
AMSI yesterday pledged a donation of Dh1 million to Dubai Cares in an event attended by Shaikh Mayed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at Al Mawakeb School in Barsha.
Shaikh Mayed joined hands with thousands of students as they formed a large human chain in support of the Dubai Cares campaign.
Exhibiting their solidarity with the cause that Dubai Cares represents, 14 students delivered messages in several languages — a gesture that is representative of the diversity of the project and the city itself.
Once on stage, Shaikh Mayed joined hands with the children to be part of the chain and officially launched ‘Hands Together’ — a fund-raising event organised by Al Mawakeb School in aid of the Dubai Cares campaign.
